I recently traveled to Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico with about 100 of my friends (we basically took over *shrugs*). This was one of the best trips for so many reasons.
Upon arrival at the airport, we were greeted by our drivers. They transferred us to our resort, the Marival Residences, where they traded our bags for drinks and directed us to our private welcome reception.
The service at the Marival was second to none. This four diamond, all inclusive resort is all about luxury. The smallest suites are bigger than my first apartment (1,400 sq. ft.). Our suite had a full kitchen, living room, and two bathrooms. As a foodie, the first thing on my mind when I arrive anywhere is FOOD. The Marival did not disappoint. The food at all of the restaurants on the property was delicious! We also had access to the sister property which had a beach club, theatre, night club, and more restaurants.
The next day started with an early morning party boat ride to the island of Majahuitas. It's never too early to turn up. We enjoyed an hour of snorkeling and canoeing before heading to our next destination, Yelapa. There, we hiked though a village to a beautiful waterfall and then spent some time laying out on the beach.
All the hiking and swimming had me beat, so the rest of the day was spent napping and stuffing my face.
Day three started out with another excursion, which was included with the trip. Zip lining through the jungle was amazing and definitely a workout. Afterwards, we were treated to tequila tasting. This was the smoothest I've ever had! We tried coffee infused, almond infused, and a creamy hazelnut tequila called the "Hoochie Mama".
Once you experience good quality tequila, the cheap stuff won't cut it. We ate lunch in the mountains before heading back to the resort. That evening was spent enjoying dinner with friends and partying at the club on the sister property.
Day four was all about relaxing.... for the most part. I slept in and had brunch with some of my friends. Later that afternoon we played blackjack at the swim up bar. We topped the last night off by enjoying the views at the rooftop bar.
The memories made will last a lifetime. I can't even put into words the amount of fun we had, luckily there's a video to do that. Check out the recap video of the trip!
