Updated Skin Care Routine


If you've been keeping up with me for a while, you know my love for coconut oil. Although I still love it for my body, I've discovered something even better for my face.

Why did I ditch coconut oil for my face? I wasn't breaking out (which coconut oil can do to some people). I just wanted something I could use to moisturize my face in the evening as well as during the day. Thus began my search.

After doing a little research, I decided to give grapeseed oil a try. Many cosmetic products use this oil as their base because it's light on the skin, gentle, and easily absorbed. It's packed with skin smoothing vitamins C, D, and E. Grapeseed oil is also great for acne treatment and combination skin. The fatty acids in the oil are also great for reducing wrinkles and minimizing scars.

I mix a couple drops of grapeseed oil with a drop of lavender oil and apply to my face morning and evening. I've been using lavender oil for years because I love the smell, but turns out it's also great for your skin. It has powerful antioxidants to protect your skin and is helpful in the treatment of acne.
